Day 15 of 31 Days Straight...Let's Meditate!
I have to come clean.
Lately, I've found myself engaging more in praying than meditating. I love the explanation EQ gives of the difference - prayer is talking to the Universe, meditation is listening.
I've had a sick dog. And between cleaning up after her, supporting my spouse who loves that dog like she's one of our children, keeping an eye on my not-to-be-trusted cat, hunting for an emergency animal clinic in a relatively new-to-us city, hearing that a son and his partner's furnance quit working in the middle of a Kansas night with 27-below-zero wind chill...we'll I've been doing more "talking" than "listening."
My spiritual understanding doesn't align with "God answered my prayer." But I will say, that the dog is on the mend, the cat and I have declared a truce, and a $1.37 part installed by my son's partner resulted in a warm home. And my dear…

Hey Thea,
I agree that "chores of life" are meditative because we are mindful of what we are doing and send loving attention toward it.
But sitting still can bring a more focused intention to the mindfulness that benifits the mind, body and spirit...especially the biggest messages are received.
