Feeling what you're feeling
Hi, everyone. Tonight is Sunday, 1/24/2021. I’m posting here because it just feels safer at the moment than being on Facebook. So, I hope members of our group actually see this.
I’m wondering whether anyone else is feeling as emotionally raw as I am. I’m sure it’s a cumulative effect of the stress of 2020 in every area of life, plus the current planetary progressions.
That said, you should know that I’m an information junkie. I like to be informed. So, to get a break from all the news, I sometimes watch cartoons. This is for several reasons. I’m a PBS television Emmy Award-winning children’s celebrity ghostwriter (for Simon & Schuster and others). So, I watch cartoons to study current trends, character and story development, voice acting, etc.
Yesterday, I was watching Molly of Denali, which is a cultural exploration of authentic life in Alaska. It’s well-written and researched. Long story short, the storyline was about her grandfather abandoning something he loved more than anything. (I’ve had a personal experience in my life, too.) Molly is a young and exuberant character with boundless energy. The story ended with her helping to restore her grandfather’s passion. It made me cry.
Then tonight, while watching All Things Great and Small on PBS about veterinarian James Herriott, he had to euthanize a beautiful race horse. I’m still crying as I type this, not quite weeping, but I can’t seem to stop.
I know it’s important to feel what you’re feeling, so here I am. I’m just wondering if this is a cumulative effect of all that’s happening in our world right now or if perhaps I’m just being sensitive to the collective consciousness of grief and loss, etc.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Norma-Jean (“NJ”)

Diana, I like what you said about the primal brain, I too, have been trying to connect with those old habits of thought in order to release them. I don't know that done is ever done. I hope I can move those thoughts to the background and be active with my new thoughts and beliefs.
