I will be braking down the hacks from our class into multiple posts. Each will be on a certain topic, however the hacks can cross other arreas so if looking for a specific hack check other posts if it is not found in what it might originally be listed under.

QVC, HSN, Amazon and other stores may have some of the items discussed. If you like a hack and want the item check those sites or even Ebay as a resource. If I know where an item can be found I will post it at the end in parenthesis.

I am only allowed 1 pg at a time here to post so hacks will be broken up.

**Batteries- get a battery box to hold them all (every kind) and out of the frig. Many come w/ a tester so you know the battery is good before you use it. (QVC)

**Battery -Test them w/o a tester- bounce them on a table from 6" high- (+) 1 bounce, (-) keeps bouncing.

**Battery- If you do not have enough of a type of battery to replace them in equipment, make a roll the length of the battery out of aluminum foil and use it in place of the missing battery in a pinch

**Wrapping paper- Take a tube from the toilet paper when empty and cut it lengthwise. Open it up a little and slide it onto the rolls of wrapping paper to prevent it from unrolling and getting damaged.

**Shaving cream- On mirrors and headlights on cars can clean it up nicely and in the bathroom will help keep mirrors from fogging up.

** Aluminum Foil- If cut it several times, it will sharpen scissors.

**A Foil- Make a large ball of it and toss in the dryer to decrease static and soften clothes.

**A Foil- Polish silver-Foil placed in the bottom of a pan, water, place in silver items, 2 tbsp salt. Allow to react for 2 min then remove, wash off and buff if needed.

**A Foil- Jewelry- Foil in the bottom of a pan, hot water, 1 tbsp salt, small amt. of non-bleach laundry detergent. Let sit for 1 min. ALERT- make sure your jewelry is safe to clean in this manner as some stones may react.

**Patio Doors sticking--Blaster is a product that will remove gunk and allow smooth rolling of the wheels. ALERT- it does have a smell so if you want to avoid, open the door and let the area air out vs closing everything up. (ACE hardware, Amazon)
